Vehicle viewing and pre-registration begins after 12:30 PM On Wednesday, April 30, 2013 the City of Flint Department of Purchases and Supplies and the Flint Police Department will offer for sale to the highest bidder vehicles legally deemed abandoned without claim of ownership or forfeited to the Flint Police Department . All bidders and those wishing to enter the lot for viewing are required to obtain a bidder’s number by making an advance $120.00 refundable deposit with the Treasurer of the City of Flint. A minimum $120.00 deposit will be required to hold vehicles until the final payment deadline. All final payments will be due by the close of business Friday, May 2, 2013 in the City Treasurer’s/Customer Service office located at City Hall. Deposits will be taken in advance by the Treasurer of the City of Flint at Complete Towing after 12:30 PM the day of auction.
ALL BIDDERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO MAKE THE MINIMUM DEPOSIT AND BE ASSIGNED A BIDDER’S NUMBER IN ORDER TO BID DURING THE AUCTION.

There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to these policies. Failing to abide by these guidelines may result in the forfeit of an individual’s right to bid on any vehicles during this auction or any future auctions. Payment must be made by cash or certified check made payable to the Treasurer of the City of Flint. Personal checks will not be accepted. Checks from dealers, on business accounts only, may be accepted. Bills of Sale may be held for 10 days on all vehicles purchased by check. Bills of Sale will be made available by the City of Flint Police Department immediately after the completion of the auction on all vehicles sold without title and purchased by cash. The balance is to be paid no later than 5:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2013 at the office of the City Treasurer/Customer Service or deposit will be forfeited. All balances must be paid in full before a Bill of Sale can be issued.
ALL MINIMUM BIDDING WILL BEGIN AT $120.00. THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT OF ONE BID.
NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 IS PERMITTED IN LOT WITHOUT AN ADULT.
VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED BY MAY 2, 2013 OR THEY WILL BE CHARGED A DAILY STORAGE FEE.
VEHICLES MAY BE DRIVEN OFF THE LOT UNDER THEIR OWN POWER AS ALLOWED UNDER MICHIGAN LAW OR TOWED BY LEGAL MEANS WITH THE USE OF A LICENSED TOW TRUCK, CAR DOLLIE, OR PROPERLY LICENSED TRAILER.
ALL VEHICLES ARE SUBJECT TO THE STATUTES OF THE MICHIGAN SECRETARY OF STATE REGARDING PURCHASE, TRANSPORT, REGISTRATION AND PROOF OF INSURANCE CORRESPONDING WITH THE NAME ON THE BILL OF SALE BEFORE BEING RELEASED.
VEHICLES NOT REMOVED PRIOR TO CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2013 WILL HAVE DEPOSITS FORFEITED AND STORAGE FEES ASSESSED.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
